STEFANIA CARNEVALE - ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Stefania Carnevale is Associate Professor in Criminal Procedure at the Department of Law, University of Ferrara, where she teaches Fundamentals of Criminal procedure and Post-conviction issues and prison law. In 1996 she graduated with honors at the University of Bologna, where she obtained in 2001 a PhD in Criminal Procedure. In 1999 she became attorney at law at the Court of Appeal of Bologna and the following year she was visiting scholar at the University of Sheffield, Centre for Criminological & Legal Research. From 2001 to 2003 she was post-doc research fellow at the University of Ferrara and from 2004 to 2014 she was Assistant Professor (Ricercatore) at the same University. In 2013 she was invited to hold lectures on the subject of criminal appeals in Albacete Law School, University of Castilla La Mancha. She is author of a book on the standing issue in the criminal appeal system (L’interesse ad impugnare nel processo penale, Giappichelli, 2012) and of many other academic publications and has been speaker at numerous conferences and seminars.
