DANIEL NITU - SENIOR LECTURER IN CRIMINAL LAW
His area of interest covers both the domestic application of Criminal Law and the European and International facets. Regarding the domestic level, beside the teaching and research activities, Mr. Nitu is a member of the Romanian Bar. In 2010, he was involved in the drafting of the Law for the application of the new Romanian Criminal Code, within a special commission established by the Ministry of Justice. As well, he was part of the examination commission within the Romanian Superior Council of Magistrates for the promotion as a judge at the Criminal Division of the Supreme Court. At the European and International level, Mr. Nitu participated at numerous conferences on the topic organised by the International Institute for Criminal Sciences in Siracuse, Italy. As well, he constantly benefits from research stages offered by the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law, in Freiburg, Germany.
