Cristina Rodríguez Yagüe is an Assistant Professor at the Law School, in Ciudad Real (University of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain). She teaches Criminal Law and Prison Law. She graduated in law from the University of Castilla-La Mancha, with first class honours. She held a Master in Criminology. She was Visiting Research at the Institut für Deutsches, Europäisches und Internationales Strafrecht und Strafprozessrecht in Heidelberg (Germany) for 4 mounths (2012, 2013), at the Faculty of Law, Business and Economics in Bayreuth (Germany) with a DAAD-grant for one year (1999/2000) and at the Institut für Kriminologie und Wirtschaftsstrafrecht in Freiburg ob Brisgau (Germany) for 4 mounths (1998 and 1999). One of her main lines of research concerns aspects related to the prison law. She has recently published the book El sistema penitenciario español ante el siglo XXI [The Spanish Prison System facing the challenges of the 21st century] (Iustel, 2013), and she has written several articles about the system of execution of sentences for sexual offenders, about problems relating to the status of foreigners, the right to education in prison , articles about the response to terrorism crime or about the upcoming reform of the conditional release system. |
